I have been involved with Unity my whole adult life. My great‑grandmother was very strong in Unity in the Midwest; my mother, aunt, and her husband were also very involved with Unity. I became a member of Unity Church of Hawaii in 1983, and served as an usher there for 15 years, stopping when I moved to the Cottonwood area in late 2021. I have participated in many Unity classes. I was on the Board of my condo association for many years. I was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and held several officer positions over the years. We were very involved in volunteering and community service throughout the island of Oahu. The reason I am a member of the Board at UVV is that I want to see the Church prosper and grow! Unity of Verde Valley is part of my community, and I have met some amazing friends here.

I've been a Unity member for 16 years, four in Cottonwood. I served on the Board of Unity in Olympia, Washington for three years. I have been retired for 24 years, state of Washington. I am a widow with a ton of grands and great grands. I love the Unity ideals, they are what I believe in and are very inspirational for me.

Terrilyn first came to Unity of Verde Valley in August 2025 and immediately began helping with after-service refreshments to meet the community. This approach worked beautifully. Since then, she has enjoyed several workshops, made new friends, and joined the newly formed Think Tank committee. She is now seeking to further serve Unity of Verde Valley on the Board of Trustees.

Terrilyn always has a big smile on her face and participates with joyful energy. She curiously seeks a greater truth in our classes and workshops and is a joyful blessing to our membership.

Grace began attending Unity of Sedona in approximately 2008, and then moved her membership to the Cottonwood Unity Center of the Valley started by Rev. Bruce Kellogg in 2009. When Grace walked into Unity Center of the Valley and was so warmly welcomed there, she definitely felt acknowledged. She loved the community feel of greeting each other and the after-church gatherings.

Grace feels her long history as a legal secretary and good office skills prepared her for being of service on the Board of Trustees of Unity of Verde Valley. Grace enjoys being helpful and being a part of something important that brings people together.
